KPW-AMC is a professional writing company established in Roanoke, VA in 1989. I began my work through resume and cover-letter writing. My interest in and love for my hometown led me to work with community leaders to write community preservation and organization plans that positively affected the city.
The mission of KPW-AMC is to provide consulting, planning, research and writing expertise to individuals and non-profit organizations.
In 1992, I became a Curator of Art and History at Harrison Museum. Here my writing branched into the arts, editing, oral histories, and grant-writing. I wrote many media and professional documents including press releases, articles and lectures, state grants, reports and training documents.
I continued to write professional documents for the arts and other businesses from 1993 to the present, expanding into business and strategic plans, extensive grant and development writing, and media writing for online audiences.
A career in education led me to coach undergraduate and graduate students in academic paper writing and research from 1986 - 2014. From abstracts and thesis concepts, to research and interpretation, to composition documentation and editing, I have helped students achieve successful completion of their masters theses and dissertations in humanities and the sciences.
